Why My Pricing Is Transparent

I was recently inspired to create a blog by a few people and I genuinely struggled to figure out how I wanted to start. After some careful thought I decided that explaining my pricing and packages would be a great introduction. In Columbus, Ga the price range for photography services varies widely for numerous reasons but a common one is having such a large selection of services from one provider. To simplify my process and pricing I break my services down into two basic areas: portraits and events.

Portraits- The consultation is free. As far as portraits go, my Senior and Graduate Portraits, Headshots and Personal Branding Portraits, Couples Portraits and Custom and Women’s Portraiture are all one price: $200. Packages can be picked after photo viewing, with the exception of my miniature package. So all that’s required to get started is genuinely just my flat booking fee of $200 to hold a spot on my calendar for any portrait work. The difference for my miniature portrait sessions is that they are $275 total for the full service. For more details please check my price menu!

Events- The consultation is still the same price: free. However, to book any event photography services my session fee is $500 to hold a place on my calendar. After that the price is based on event length. Ranging from 2 hours up to 8 hours the price increases from $100 to $1,100. All of this information is available in more detail on my price menu!

So the question now is: Why start off the blog with math and money? The answer is simple. You came here to look for the two things anyone hiring a photographer wants to see. What is the quality of my work and how much does it cost to get that quality. Providing these answers upfront gets all of the “boring” stuff out of the way!
